Motorola Backflip AT&T - First Android Phone Available on AT&T

Motorola Backflip is an Android powered smartphone offering some of the best features available in the market. The handset supports GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G networks and HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 3G networks. So, you don't have to worry whether your carrier supports this phone or not. The phone has the dimensions 108 X 53 X 15.3 mm and weighs 133 grams.

Motorola Backflip features a 3.1 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display which supports a resolution of 320 pixels and 256K colors. This phone offers a unique design with a QWERTY keyboard at the back of the phone. Users will have to flip it in the reverse direction to bring out the keyboard under the screen. This is quite different from the traditional flipping of Motorola phones where you have to flip open the keyboard. Other features include an accelerometer sensor for user interface auto-rotate, proximity sensor for display auto turn-off and a trackpad touchpanel at the back of the display. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor and runs on Android version 1.5 which can be upgraded to version 2.1. The user interface is based on Motorola's MOTOBLUR user interface with support for Live Widgets.

Motorola Backflip allows you to stay connected on the go with the help of Class 12 GPRS, Class 12 EDGE, HSDPA and Wi-fi. Users can interact with their friends on various social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter with the help of the pre-installed apps. They can also share their photos on websites like Photobucket, Picasa directly from the phone.
